The Shiba Inu is the dog I've always dreamed about. My boyfriend and I had been looking for almost nine months to welcome one into our family. By luck I found GoldKress Kennels, the thought of owning such a rare and priceless creature made me extremely happy. I was sent a picture of my "baby" every week. I marked my calendar the day Nyoko, my 'baby" would arrive, and truly be mine. She was everything I always wanted; cute, energetic and happy. I
never had any doubt this story wouldn't have a happy ending. I'm extremely happy with my puppy and would not trade her for anything in the world. I'm even thinking on giving her a playmate. Which will definitely come from GoldKress Kennels.

We had been looking everywhere for a Shiba Inu breeder that not only had a facility that put us at ease, but also cared about the dogs. We found some breeders on the Internet and were disappointed to find that they cared more about the money than they did about the dogs. But when we discovered Goldkress Kennels, we were more than satisfied with the environment, and after contacting them, we felt assured that our puppy would be loved and well taken care of before he came to us. My fiancé and I had been looking into getting a shiba inu for some time. When we found Goldkress kennels online we knew we wanted to get our new pet from there. We emailed them and we had a reply the next day with pictures of the two available puppies. We called
with a few questions that were answered very knowledgeably. We picked up our puppy on location and the kennels were very clean with room for the puppies and adults to run. All the dogs seemed very happy and our puppy "akuma" is very happy and healthy. He had

I was very impressed with Bernice’s knowledge and patience with me while I was deciding on getting a Shiba Inu. I had searched the internet for breeders and was not very impressed with the responses I received until I e-mailed Goldkress Kennels. Bernice was very informative and answered any question I had. After visiting her kennel, I was confident that I had chosen the best breeder of Shiba’s! Our Shiba’s name is Reba, for her red hair, and we are enjoying getting to know her and watching her grow up everyday. Bernice even called several times to check in on Reba and wanted to know how everything was going. I would recommend anyone who is interested in the Shiba Inu breed to contact Bernice for questions or interest in purchasing a Shiba puppy.

Following extensive research of different breeds of dogs, we made a unanimous decision to find a Shiba-Inu puppy. We were looking through dog magazines and the internet as we wanted a dog in the early summer when we could spend more time socializing her since our kids were off school. We contacted several breeders and were elated when Lonita called to let us know she had a female puppy available early July. We live near Chicago, so we were a little concerned that we could not visit the kennel and meet her parents. Lonita was great, through the photo’s she sent every Sunday we followed Versace’s development. We frequently spoke on the phone about how Versace was doing and preparing our home to welcome her. Lonita’s commitment to her dogs becomes clearly apparent the first time you talk to her. We have never met, yet a personal bond was established through our little Shiba-Inu. Versace is a gem. We do not know anyone else who has had a new puppy and had it so easy, she is perfect. We would recommend anyone interested in adding a Shiba-Inu to their family to contact Lonita and GoldKress Kennels.

Kiba is doing great. We have only had him for this short time and he already knows us as his owners. Sits at our feet, was good with the car trip, very obedient. Just wanted to let you know that all is well with Lucy. She traveled home great, and has been perfectly delightful. She’s not even had one accident in the house! We have a vet visit tomorrow. I assume it will go well. She seems like a picture of good health.

LaKota is such a delight....She was just perfect on the way home - slept on my lap for the first two hours - then I drove and she played with Darrell and slept some more.

She is a wonderful addition to our family - even gets along with our 14 year old Yorkie. We are so happy that she had already been around your cats. She likes my Daughter's cats and they are getting used to her. My sister has a lab and even they love playing together. We do so appreciate the effort you have made to socialize her.

I know you told us she was already house broken, but that was just too much to hope for - but you were so right. She is so smart - not one accident in our home. She even prefers to go outside of her little play area in the yard to potty.

LaKota is sleeping thru the night and seems to be very happy here. We are sure happy to have her here.

Also it was such a pleasant experience picking her up and seeing how well cared for your dogs are. That means a lot to us. We love her. Thank you for raising such wonderful puppies.

I just wanted to take the time to say how much I truly appreciate everything you have done to make the buying of Chief so incredibly easy. I couldn't believe how quickly she adapted to her new home and new family. When I took her to the vet for the first time, she was incredibly impressed by how well Chief was taken care of and how well behaved she was. Her comment was that she rarely sees such results from a breeder. Chief continues to grow and is healthy and perfect in the way that only a pug can be. She will be getting spayed this monday (August 7) and I will send the papers as soon as possible.

Finding a breeder online was really risky and scary, but you made the experience very easy. For anyone looking for a pug in this area, I will wholeheartedly recommend Gold Kress.

We have "adopted" two Shiba Inu puppies from Goldkress Kennels, and the experience has been wonderful both times. Emma, our little red fox, joined our family in August and Rocco, a little black and tan boy joined in November. Both puppies are beautiful, healthy, clearly well-cared for, crate-trained and affectionate. When we decided we wanted a second puppy, I didn't hesitate for a second to contact Lonita at Goldkress.

We have bought two Shiba-Inu's from GoldKress over the years and they are both outstanding dogs! They are nothing but happy and healthy and came to us potty trained at 8-weeks old (blood lines for all their dogs are great). Our experience with GoldKress has been one to cherish. We received personal attention, weekly updates with four or five photos of our puppy (you can't get them until they are eight weeks old but we put a deposit on each dog at about three weeks old), and we have called and gotten adivce on training and such. It's obvious they are not in this business to make money. GoldKress is clearly a group of people that adore dogs and breeds/raises them with love. Our two came to use loving, playful, and comfortable around kids and adults. We've seen many puppies not as well adjusted because they are not raised in an environment with a lot of pesonal human attention. At GoldKress, puppies are born, and raised, inside the owners home. We're getting our next dog from GoldKress.

I recently bought a Shiba Inu puppy from Goldkress Kennels and they were just wonderful. Lonita the owner was so helpful in all my questions and would write back right away with answers and we have had her for a week now and she is just a joy to have. She is in perfect health and I already have her potty trained. I would recommend GoldKress to anyone cause they made the experience so rewarding and we just love our puppy.

Please buy with confidence when you buy a puppy from Lonita. She welcomed us into her spotless home to view the puppies. There were 6 puppies in the litter and Kara the Mother also greeted us when we entered the room to see the puppies. Kara was friendly and let us hold the week old puppies. The puppies were precious. Chris picked the black and tan puppy from the litter. Bullitt is quick, playful, sweet and smart. He has a neat personality which seems to grow everyday. He was crate trained when he was brought home at 8 weeks. He only whimpered for about 20 minutes the first night and slept through the night too! We've had very few messes to clean up so far. Lonita even helped us at the pet store and went over some things with us which she suggested. She sent pictures of Bullitt every week. Her kennel area for the adult dogs is very clean. First of all, the facilities are great. The dogs have plenty of room, are well-taken-care of, and even LOOK happy when you pull in the drive. Second, Lonita is personable, kind, and really understands how much people love her puppies. The weekly updates were great-- we looked forward to them every week. She handled my MANY questions quite well (she definitely knows the breed!). Best of all, when we brought our red sesame pup home, Sammi, he was remarkably well-socialized, affectionate, crate-trained, house-trained... he even knew his name already. This woman prepares your soon-to-be puppy to be a happy, healthy family dog. Her prices are reasonable. She's very hands-on, plays with the pups, and they give her puppy kisses all the time. I am extremely confident in her ability and credentials. If we decide to get another Shiba, we will most certainly get it from GoldKress Kennels. What a wonderful, thorough breeder!

I recently purchased a Mini Bull Terrier from GoldKress Kennels and was most impressed with the facilities. In the beginning, it was so nice to have a breeder who answered all my questions and communicated with me. After making my selection, I received weekly updates on the pups complete with pictures. It was nice being able to see "my" pup grow each week. Lonita picked me up at the airport and took me to the kennel to finish the paperwork, rather than offering to meet me somewhere, which would not give me a chance to see the kennel. The grounds are clean and spacious and the pens are large and well maintained. This is a kennel I would recommend to anyone. It is certainly not some puppy mill!

Dealing with Lonita has been a pleasure. She was very patient and answered all my questions. She was great at sending me updated photos of my baby girl "Betsy" when asked and also on a regular basis each week so I could see her grow. She arranged the shipping and when "Betsy" arrived, she was in great condition and beautiful. I would definately recommend buying from Lonita Kress as it was a great experience, with a beautiful, healthy baby pug.

Six days ago we brought a GoldKress Shiba puppy into our home. From day one "Bella" has integrated seamlessly into our lives: she is happy, beautiful, curious, loving, great with strangers, and potty trained! I told Lonita it is as if this little girl was born just to be our puppy. We couldn't be happier with our little Shiba girl.
